Your tool, your brand. Customise your Public Journal Search Page with your logo and colours.
Step-by-Step
- To change the logo and colours of your Public Journal Search Page first of all click on Branding either on the Main Dashboard or from the sidebar.
- You will now arrive at the branding page where you can make your customisations.
On the tab General You can make the following changes for your brand identify and colours:
- Brand Logo: Upload your logo in .png or svg format with no background and with a wide rectangular/squared shape. We recommend a 150px height for the best experience.
- Brand Logo URL: Add your University Library's URL for when your researchers click on your logo they will be directed to your library webpage.
- Main Colour: We recommend you use the RGB colour codes from your brand. This is used for your header and text colour
- Header Colour: The main colour will be used for header colour as well as text, however you can choose to change the Header colour if you want it to be different from the main colour
- Secondary Colour: The secondary colour enables you to change the background colour to your public search page
- Use a contrasting colour scheme for better results (e.g. white logo against a dark background) and avoid dark-on-dark colours.
- Make sure to press Save if you have made any changes. Please note it takes (x) minutes for changes to be shown on your public search page.
Accessibility
The colours you choose for your Public Search page should enable the text to have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for smaller text and 3:1 for larger text. You can check the contrast ratio by using an online tool such as the WebAim contrast checker tool.
