This guide provides information on what to do if the Journal URL is not working correctly on your Public Journal Search, e.g. when clicking on the Journal it is going to Not Found page OR it is taking you to the API documentation webpage.
Check your spreadsheet
- Journal URL column is missing - There is no column for Journal URL in the spreadsheet
Fix: Add Journal URL column (see here for supported column names) and fill in missing data, the journal URL must start with https:// - Incorrect column name - the Journal URL column has a spelling error in the column name or the column name is not supported
Note: When importing a list it automatically maps the column name to a supported list. If this does not match to the supported list it will not be imported. See here for a list of supported column names
Fix: Change column name - Journal URL is missing within rows - The column is in the spreadsheet but there is data missing within some of the rows
Fix: Add the Journal URL in the missing fields. It must start with https:// - Journal URL is missing https:// - For the URL to work correctly it must start with https://
Fix: Add https:// at the beginning of the Journal URL
Step-by-Step
- Fix the spreadsheet based on what the issue was (see examples above)
- Go to the Agreements page and click on the Agreement which needs the URLs fixing
- Now you have arrived on the Edit Agreement page you can then upload the corrected spreadsheet
- Click Save Changes
- Check the Journal URLs are now working on your Public Search Page
