If License Option or Publishing Model is not showing on the Public Search page/ Internal Search you will need to check that in the agreement that is imported correctly

Fix License Option
There can be a couple of reasons why the License Options are not showing these are:
-
- License Option column is missing in the spreadsheet and no default has been selected
- Licence Option column is in the spreadsheet, but it has not mapped. This can happen when:
- Licence option is contained within the spreadsheet, but the column name is missing or not mapped
- Licence option is contained within the spreadsheet, but the licence options are not commar seperated
- Licence option column name is correct, but the licence text within the spreadsheet is written incorrectly
To find out where the issue is you should first of all check the spreadsheet you are importing
Checking the spreadsheet and how to fix
- Open the spreadsheet and take a look at the columns. See below for example spreadsheets and the issues with it.
- Example 1: there is no licence option column in the spreadsheet
- Fix:
- Add column with name Licence option
- Add Licence options e.g. CC BY
- Example 2: Correct column name but has missing data within the column
- Fix: Add data in the missing fields. e.g. CC BY
- Example 3: Incorrect column name - this has a spelling error in the column name.
- Note: When importing a list it automatically maps the column name to a supported list. If this does not match to the supported list it will not be imported.
- Fix: Change column name e.g. License Option
- Note: When importing a list it automatically maps the column name to a supported list. If this does not match to the supported list it will not be imported.
- Example 4: License options are written but not commar seperated
- Note: When importing a list it automatically maps the license options text to a supported list. If this does not match to the supported list it will not be imported. For multple licence options they must be commar separate e.g. CC BY, CC BY-NC
- Fix: Add commars between license options e.g. CC BY, CC BY NC
- Note: When importing a list it automatically maps the license options text to a supported list. If this does not match to the supported list it will not be imported. For multple licence options they must be commar separate e.g. CC BY, CC BY-NC
- Example 5: Spelling error in licence options
- Note: When importing a list it automatically maps the license options text to a supported list. If this does not match to the supported list it will not be imported.
- Fix: Correct spelling on license option e.g. CC BY
- Note: When importing a list it automatically maps the license options text to a supported list. If this does not match to the supported list it will not be imported.
Step-by-Step
- Fix the spreadsheet based on what the issue was (see examples above)
- Go to the Agreements page either from the Main Dashboard or from the side menu
- Click on the agreement which is missing the License information
- You will now arrive at the Edit Agreement page
- Before uploaded the correct spreadsheet we recommend selecting one or more default licence(s) as best practice. This means if one or more journal rows are missing license options this will be filled in
- Now upload the corrected spreadsheet
- Click Save Changes
- Then check licenses are loaded within the License Options column in Uploaded Journals
- If the licenses are now showing this means they will be shown in both the Internal and Public search page. If the licences are not being showing check the spreadsheet
Fix Publishing Model
Checking the spreadsheet
- Publishing Model column is missing in the spreadsheet
- Publishing Model column is in the spreadsheet, but it has not mapped. This can happen when:
- Publishing Model is contained within the spreadsheet, but the column name is missing or not mapped
- Publishing Model column name is correct, but the Publishing Model text within the spreadsheet is written incorrectly
