What is Dynamica?
Dynamica is a publishing platform for universities to enable their researchers to publish peer-reviewed papers under their unviersity name. The tool allows for publishing anything that needs to be peer-reviewed in all subject areas. Dynamica is a tool that brings all researchers need to publish, peer review and get credit in one tool. Made by a researcher who believes that we are too busy innovating and need academic publishing to come to us.
Who can use Dynamica?
This publishing tool is open to researchers at the Universities implementing Dynamica. During the pilot phase it is open to Stockholm University researchers to publish.
Researchers from other universities are able to register as peer-reviewers within the tool.
Moving forward only researchers from universities who have implemented Dynamica, will be able to use it to publish. However, all researchers from all over the world (with their university email addresses) are welcomed to start peer-reviewing and getting recognized for their work.
How do I register for Dynamica?
To register for an account simply visit https://app.scifree.se/Account/Register and sign up using your university email address.
What can be published in Dynamica?
All knowledge to add to your field. You as a researcher know what knowledge needs to be added to your field and how important that is. Researchers from Philosophy to Physics can use their University templates to get their work peer-reviewed, published and archived as well as provide information to their funders for free.
What are the benefits of using Dynamica?
Firstly as a researcher you keep ownership of your data. You get transparent and faster peer-review. You also get the stamp of approval of your work from your University. Work published in the tool will also be digitally preserved in CLOCKSS. But more importantly you get to show the world that we do not need to publish or perish, we can share and serve and no researcher should pay for publishing ever again.
Does Dynamic cost anything for researchers to use or publish?
Dynamica is free for researchers to use. Only researchers at Universities which have implemented Dynamica are able to publish within the tool but reseachers from other universities can register as reviewers.
What is the scope of Dynamica?
Please note, Dynamica is not a journal. The Universities who implement Dynamica can suggest the scope of types of publications. In the pilot it is all research content and data from all areas of knowledge; i.e. Philosophy to Physics.
How do I become a reviewer?
To become a reviewer you will first of all need to register for a Dynamica account at https://app.scifree.se/Account/Register and during set up you can select Reviewer. On the Reviewer Dashboard you can set keywords as a reviewer, where you will be automatically called upon when a manuscript is sent to review which matches your keywords.
Will DOIs be assigned?
DOIs are assigned after acceptance and publication for Stockholm University researchers.
How will people find our published papers?
The published page will be presented so that they can be web harvested. You can access all publications by clicking here . We will also work to ensure the published papers are in DIVA and all the relevant repositories. In this case, there will be several places that Google Scholar already pulls from.
