This guide provides an overview of the reviewing dashboard and how to set up your reviewing preferences as a general or technique reviewer. It includes the following sections:
Step-By-Step
Reviewer Settings
You can set keywords as a reviewer, where you will be automatically called upon when a manuscript is sent to review which matches your keywords. You can toggle this feature on or off depending on your availability. You will have two options either to review the entire manuscript as a General Reviewer or to review just the techniques as a Technique Reviewer.
- General Reviewer: You will have access to the entire manuscript to read and assess.
- Technique Reviewer: You will only have to review the sections of the manuscript that has the matching keyword that you have entered. You can focus on this and approve it without needing to read the entire manuscript.
- To add in your keywords you will first of all need to toggle on the reviewer type, a text box will then appear.
-
Once they are toggled on you can add in your keywords in the corresponding text box. To seperate keywords make sure to use commas between terms.
- Now that these have been set up you can free to wait for new manuscripts or content to come to you when you want.
- You can toggle these options on and off, for example if you feel that you are getting too many requests or even more importantly, are on vacation.
Note: If you are already reviewing a manuscript which has been sent for revisions, and the author sends back the revised manuscript you will still receive it even though you have it toggled off.
