Adding Authors

This guide provides information on how to add and remove authors. As the corresponding author you can add authors so that can take part in the SciFree process by following the process. Adding authors also allows them to automatically have the published manuscript in their SciFree Process CV to send to funders.

Step-By-Step

Add authors

1. You are the corresponding author, but are free to add others. It isn’t compulsory to add every single author, but maybe some of them would like to follow the SciFree process
   

2. To do this click on Add author and type in their email address. Once you typed in the email address a message will appear to say whether the author has or has not been found within SciFree:
   If they already have an account you will see: Author found, you can add this author
   If they do not have an account you will see: Email not found, but you can invite the author

3. If they are already have an account  in SciFree, you can go ahead and add them.
   

4. If they do not have an account you can add and invite them to join SciFree by clicking Invite Author.
   
   

5. You can then fill in their First and Last name and click OK. They will then receive an email inviting them to join.

Corresponding Author

If there are multiple authors you can choose who is the Corresponding Author

1. Click on the dropdown menu and select the author you wish to be Corresponding Author
   

Remove authors

1. You can remove authors by clicking on Remove next to the author name you would like to remove.
   Note: you cannot remove yourself as an author
