Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2
Following the release of WCAG 2.2 we have now updated our accessibility statement and VPAT to reflect how the Journal Search page meets the WCAG 2.2 standards.
The Journal Search Tool on the web browser is compliant to WCAG 2.2 Level A and meets >95% for WCAG 2.2 Level AA with all criteria being supported except two criteria which are partially supported (see below for further information).
- 1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus (Level AA 2.1 and 2.2) Hoverable content is both hoverable and persistent. It cannot be dismissed without moving pointer hover or keyboard focus. If implemented this would cause the content to no longer be hoverable or persistent
- 3.1.2 Language of Parts (Level AA) The webpage language is set to English. Journals cannot be set as language of parts as these are outside of SciFree control as are uploaded by universities. If the text written by universities in the information box is written in another language this may not be marked as correct language
Sincerely,
The SciFree Team
